Cabot Extends Haynesville Play by Seven Miles

Cabot Oil and Gas completed a successful horizontal well in the southernmost portion of their 31,000 acre James Play acreage. It’s initial test ran 7.3 Mmcf/day at 1,300 psi. In a press release they reported plans to test the stratigraphic section deeper than their traditional pay zones, looking for Bossier/Haynesville gas.
